Hello there. If you’ve been keeping along, you might know about a little feature I’ve started along with my cleaning journey – called Restyle it! Restyle it is a series where in the process of cleaning up and organizing and deciding what to throw out- I find things at home which have the potential to be made afresh and in use once again. Basically, I restyle things instead of throwing them out. If they have the potential, that is.
Now. Coming along to these neon planner diaries..I love the new look! And I love it even more when you see how they looked before:
Yup. So not pretty. In fact, downright plain and..I don’t know..ghastly. What were these designers thinking? I found these two planner diaries lying around the house..and they’re brand spanking new. I think I got them from a company..you know when companies and shops you know send you a ‘gift’ for new years and all that? Well, you’re looking at these new year gifts right here.
Anyways, I started using one of them, because the planner is actually quite nice, and business-y. But the cover of the book really, really put me off to the point where I just had to Restyle it!
So! Let’s get on with it.
Supplies used: Black acrylic paint, paper tapes in different colours, varnish (optional)
1. Paint the book with black acrylic paint. One coat should do it.
2. Whip out your paper tape! Place ’em wherever you like!
3. (optional) You can add a thin coat of paper varnish..just in case.
And there you have it! I actually feel really good about this Restyle it!..because the planners just look so darn good.
And when I think of how these planners were just lying around the house..looking like that (look at the before pic), I’m so glad I changed them up a bit!
Six months into the year, but hey, now I can use both these planner diaries (or give the other new one to someone who might need it!
