Hello all! Today, I’ve got a quick Restyle it! DIY for you. Take an old clipboard and make it new again- with a marbled look!
Restyle it! DIY Marble Clipboard
-Marble paper (you can also use contact paper- which is much easier as it comes with a sticky adhesive backing. However, I’m using regular marbled patterned paper)
-Mod Podge / Glue Varnish
-Old brush to apply mod podge (not pictured)
-pencil (not pictured)
-a super old clipboard (the state of this one-yikes!)
1- Trace the clipboard on the marble paper, leaving a gap around all four edges. Mark the corner squares. These will be cut out.
2- Cut out the shape made and fold down the edges. As you can see, I had to cut out an extra bit at the top to fit the clipboard catch.
3- Apply mod podge/glue evenly on the surface of the clipboard and stick the paper down, smoothing out any bubbles and uneven areas. Apply mod podge to the folds as well, and fold the edges behind the clipboard.
4- Apply a coat of mod podge on top of the marble surface and let it dry.
Wasn’t that easy? And you know, there are so many things at home, which are old but functional. This clipboard proves that just a little TLC is all that’s needed.
