Pom Pom Painted Coasters

Screen Shot 2015-03-19 at 11.17.25 amWell, I’ve been really busy the past few days, but I found some quiet time to make these really easy pom pom painted coasters! Everyone needs some coasters at home, and I thought instead of buying some generic ones, I’d make some colourful and quirky ones to brighten my (already) colourful décor. Ha!

So, here’s what you need to make these pom pom painted coasters:

1. Plywood cut into circles (or whatever shape you want- I bought these at a craft store)

2. Paints

3. Paintbrush

4. Pom Poms (you can either make them, but I already had a bunch I’d bought earlier so I just used those)

5. Glue

How to make these pom pom painted coasters:

1/ Paint the coasters any way you like. What I did here was really easy, I started painting with one colour, and then while the first colour was still wet, I dipped the brush in another colour (white) and just blended the two. It’s a lovely blending technique which I use while painting also (another post on painting techniques coming up!)

2/Glue the pom poms on the borders of the coasters. You can add as many as you want. I just added four to keep them simple.
