My Doodling Wreath Videos July Compilation + Free E-book!

Hello! Here are some of the wreaths I doodled in July, and you can download a free mini e-book where I share how to make your own! Read on…

FREEHAND WATERCOLOR MINI WREATH:

CONTRASTING BETWEEN FREEHAND OR SLIGHTLY PLANNED:

Let’s talk about this methodical wreath design I formulated in my head and it’s kinda trending on instagram! 5 minutes of fame. That’s cool.

METHODICAL WREATH DESIGN – here’s how I do it.. 1️⃣Outline a circle with a lid (you can freehand it, or also use a compass..) 2️⃣Take it one element at a time. I usually start with a ‘two leaf’ structure as the preliminary. 3️⃣Next structure: the three berries (Btw- these are all nicknames by yours truly :D) 4️⃣Roses next. 5️⃣A three leaf structure next. 6️⃣Dots everywhere, because. I don’t know. It’s fun and they look pretty. Think of them as sprinkles to your design. They give it that added touch. .7️⃣ erase the pencil lines! You might be thinking, did I plan this out before? HAHAHA…nope. With doodling, and especially if you happen to be a ‘doodler’ (read: you doodle/draw on every piece of paper/surface you find ranging from your notes, ink moustaches on newspaper faces (Lol!).. to your hand) you’ll find that you don’t need to plan! You get the ideas by doing..So if you’re an artist/ writer/ any creative person looking for inspiration..I suggest you start doodling..because you know what they say, you can’t use up creativity. The more you try, the more you have! . I’m not saying you have to doodle with a pen like I’m doing here. You can use anything you like, any medium from watercolor (yes, there is a thing called watercolor doodling!), acrylics, pencils, oils, to a broad experimentation…paper cutting, sculpture, block printing, pottery, jewellery making…basically I mean- EXPERIMENT with what MEDIUM interests YOU! . Hope you enjoyed this. Now go doodle something. Your creativity needs it! If you try this out and are inspired, be sure to tag # mysurelysimple @surelysimpleblog so I can see your take on it! . Psst…go check out #SimpleAlphabets- a little challenge @surelysimplechallenge I host for instilling creativity in the everyday! There are teachers featured who share their knowledge, prompts to paint/draw/letter..and you might get featured too! So check it out 😀 #wreath #wreathmaking #wreaths #doodleoftheday

PEANUT BUTTER INSPIRED ME TO MAKE THIS. Well, its lid did, anyway. I add some bird soundtrack because it's more soothing to watch this! Unless you hate birds..then turn off the sound 😂 . FREE FLOWING WREATH DESIGN ▶️ 1️⃣Trace a few circles more or less adjacent in a random way. 2️⃣I used Sakura #gellyrolls to go over the circle lines created. Note that I didn’t trace each circle made, I just used different colors for different lines to create a cute and messy effect. 3️⃣Add leafy elements, dotted buds (my fave!), more leaves, I also tried something new for a wreath-I added a paint swatch splash and dotted it (see the pink and black!) I used Sakura Koi Coloring Brush Pens for that! 4️⃣I LOVE this color palette- pink, orange, blue, yellow and light green!! I was kinda thrilled with how this turned out. . Hope you enjoyed this. Now go doodle something. Your creativity needs it! . If you try this out and are inspired, be sure to tag ✅ #mysurelysimple @surelysimpleblog so I can see your take on it! . Psst… You might get featured here too 😁 . . Also go check out #SimpleAlphabets- a little challenge I host for instilling creativity in the everyday! Laurels are slightly like wreaths, right?

Ooh…let’s take it up a notch. I call this my asymmetrical wreath.

A new wreath- I call it the asymmetrical wreath- you'll see why if you watch till the end of the video 😁✍🏻 tried a new camera angle here. . . It has come to my notice that people are copying my designs and actually making their own downloads all the while claiming it's their property. Not happy about it since there are no credits attributed to me and also- stealing is stealing. I'm not sure what I can do about it. Or should I stop making these doodles? 🙄 ✍🏻 . I started with making doodles and I love it when people recreate them along with the tag #mysurelysimple . . I'm flattered by all you lovely people trying out my tutorials and crediting me! It makes these doodles worthwhile. . . However artists are known to get ripped off- by other artists who leave out credits. 😱 please if you see any suspiciously similar work to mine, please leave a comment on there saying they should probably credit the rightful owner. These doodles are all from my imagination and I put in my heart to give you all something useful and fun to watch. I'm not too bothered about this because I don't have any control here- but if you have any solution to this little issue, I'd love to hear your words! Thank you for all your support and I seriously appreciate every like, every comment, everyone of you! Thank you! ❤️❤️❤️ I've got some surprises in August for all of you- here and on @surelysimplechallenge so stay tuned ☺️ #wreath #wreaths #gelpen #simplealphabets
