I had been in Rajasthan for more than a month back in April, and I had the opportunity to explore many different homes and places. One place that really captured my interest was this 100 year old home (possibly more than that). Presently, the owners didn’t live in the large house, fully encompassing more than 30 rooms (approximately). Instead they had built their own apartment sized home right adjoining to it. But I really wanted to see their old home, so they opened up the main courtyard and..it was a beaut! The charm was so alluring, and the vibes were so peaceful.
The whole house was done up in shades of light yellow, sky blue, white, and black. Subdued and airy at the same time. I absolutely loved exploring it, and I wanted to share some of the pictures I took with you.
All the doors were locked, so couldn’t see the rooms inside! Well..except for a special one they unlocked just to show me! The walls were covered with..mirrors! And not just any mirrors. Exquisitely hand-painted ornate mirrors. But that’s for another post. xo, Aaria
